New Procedures For a Safe and Healthy Spray Tan Session

Your patience is greatly appreciated as salons and personal services wade through the new requirements to safely operate and still provide a high level of services. You will encounter many of these procedures in the salons that your frequent. Body Glo by Laura has instituted the following procedures:

  1. Upon scheduling your appointment, you will be a sent a confirmation email. In the email you will find a link to a client information form requesting your contact information, experience with spray tanning, skin care regimen and allergies. The form will also request your consent for the following procedures upon your arrival to your session. If you do have a fever after your temperature is checked in the studio or your are displaying virus symptoms, you will be asked to reschedule for a later date when symptoms have passed:

    1. Temperature check

    2. Face covering required at all times in the salon and during your session​

    3. Hand sanitation prior to your session

  2. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, you may not have a spray tan until you have had no fever for at least 72 hours, other symptoms have improved, and at least 10 days have passed since you symptoms first appeared. Symptoms include:

    1. Fever or chills

    2. Cough

    3. Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

    4. Fatigue

    5. Muscle or body aches

    6. Headache

    7. New loss of taste or smell

    8. Sore throat

    9. Congestion or runny nose

    10. Nausea or vomiting

    11. Diarrhea

  3. Only one client will be allowed in the studio at a time. Please do not bring a friend, family member or children to your session. ​

  4. Clients will be asked to stay in the car and wait for a text with notification that it's safe to enter the salon. Please text notification of your arrival to (708)695-7331.   

  5. All surfaces with which clients come in contact will be sanitized after every client session including floors, seating and tent surfaces. Medical exam table paper will be placed on seating.  

  6. Two extraction fans will be running to pull in as many erroneous particles as possible as well as a powerful air purifier. 

  7. Clients will continue to wear sticky feet. Sticky feet will continue to protect feet from stepping on overspray at the bottom of the tent but also protect from stepping barefooted on hard surfaces.

  8. Spraying faces will be optional. Since masks will be required during your tanning session and ideally, for safety purposes and to reduce risk of the bronzer smearing, masks causing lines on the face and potential face sweating in the mask, clients will be given a small amount of tanning product to apply to the face at home. A makeup brush or sponge can be used. If a client is uncomfortable with applying bronzer on her own, exceptions will be made for face tanning. 

  9. Credit or debit card only for payment is preferred. But cash will be accepted. 

  10. Your spray tan artist will continue to wear protective eye wear or a shield as well as a mask and gloves. All opportunities to remain contactless will continue to be evaluated. 

  11. As many sanitation measures as possible will be taken to ensure health and safe and a beautiful spray tan experience. As always feel free to bring suggestions to my attention. Thank You!
